Ranma 1/2

Ranma Saotome is a teen-aged martial artist who turns into a girl when splashed with cold water. His father Genma has engaged him to a girl named Akane Tendo. If you add to this an uninhibited amazon girl after Ranma, an okonomiyaki cook girl after Ranma, a boy after Ranma's female form, a boy out to kill Ranma, a girl who'd sell freezers to eskimo's and several other psychopaths living in Nerima, you've got Ranma ½.

Poke'mon

Consider this a review about Advanced & Advanced Challenge: Ash and Pikachu travels to Hoenn (similar to Johto). Meets May, an aspiring Pokemon trainer and Max, May's little brother (expect him to be short) and Brock rejoins them on the third episode of Advanced. Anyhow, Team Rocket still attacks them (which I also finds overly stupid) and "flies off again" but there is so much character development in this show that I can't believe so many people are not ever going to watch it again.

Powerpuff Girls Z

Momoko (Hyper Blossom), Miyako (Rolling Bubbles) and Kaoru (Powered Buttercup) are three ordinary 13-year-old girls who have to divide their time between saving the world and keeping up with their studies at middle school. One fateful day, a mysterious iceberg appears in Tokyo City and beams of black and white light start shooting from it. The three main girls transform after being hit by white light. When people, animals and objects are hit by black light, they become villains/monsters.

Rurouni Kenshin

The anime is about a wandering samurai in the 11th year of the Meiji era (around 1878)who stumbles upon a dojo in Tokyo and decides to stay there, helping in and around it. He protects the weak against the strong with his sword (even when they are banned) and in the process, runs into some friends and enemies from the past. The series also has some characters who really existed in the history of Japan which makes it all the more interesting.
